PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Oregon officials say all the gasoline spilled in a tanker truck crash on Interstate 84 last weekend in the Columbia River Gorge east of Portland has been removed.
The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality says cleanup crews are still waiting for a soil analysis to verify that all of the gasoline is gone.
The Oregonian reported that crews removed about 180 cubic yards of contaminated soil, digging as deep as 10 feet in some spots.
DEQ officials said no groundwater was affected.
