PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — A large fire has destroyed a fuel silo at a lumber yard in Lyons.

Fire department spokesman Alan Hume says firefighters from 11 fire agencies battled the four-alarm blaze at Freres Lumber Co. Saturday afternoon.

He tells The Oregonian that the fire destroyed 100-foot fuel silo, which provides fuel for a boiler.

Hume said the fire apparently started at the top of the silo. The fire extended to the top of the second silo, but no other buildings were burned.

No one was injured and the cause of the fire is being investigated.
