SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) — The Carolina Panthers have reached agreement with their last remaining draftee, third-round selection Terrell McClain.

The team announced the deal Monday. McClain is a 6-foot-2, 297-pound defensive tackle out of South Florida who was the 65th overall pick in last spring’s NFL draft. McClain was all-Big East first team selection his senior year. He is expected to report to camp immediately.

New Panthers coach Ron Rivera said Sunday that McClain had been missing the chance to learn the team’s system by holding out from Carolina’s first two days of practice.

The Panthers’ top selection, No. 1 overall Cam Newton, signed a four-year, $22 million contract on Friday.
