Battle Ground teachers honored

Battle Ground — Five Battle Ground Public Schools teachers were honored at a “Teachers Make a Difference” ceremony May 24 sponsored by the Battle Ground Education Foundation.

Zach Tetz, a fifth-grade teacher and math specialist at Laurin Middle School, won the $2,000 Belle Staley Lawrence Award. Gary Albers, CAM social studies, won the $750 Pat Pettichord Award. Kelly Truscinski, Glenwood Heights and Pleasant Valley primaries and English Language Learners, won the $500 Anita Bolton/Warren Reeves Award. Deb Lindgren, Prairie High School preschool program, won the $500 Riverview Community Bank Award. And Tom Wolverton, Prairie High School math and science, won the $500 Battle Ground Auto License Award.
