SEATTLE (AP) — A mix of Seattle Seahawks under contract, free agents who were with the team last year and even a few players from other teams have gathered for one of the largest offseason workouts in the Seattle area.
About 30 to 35 players gathered at the University of Washington’s indoor practice facility on Thursday morning. Included in that group were quarterbacks Matt Hasselbeck and Charlie Whitehurst, running back Justin Forsett, linebackers Aaron Curry and David Hawthorne and defensive backs Lawyer Milloy, Marcus Trufant and Jordan Babineaux.
While many live year-round in the Seattle area, Whitehurst — the only quarterback on the Seahawks roster — made a point of flying in from the Atlanta area to participate.
