SEATTLE (AP) — The National Weather Service is forecasting the warmest weekend since September in Washington.

Forecasters say skies should clear Friday and temperatures on Saturday and Sunday should rise into the 70s in Western Washington and low 80s in Eastern Washington.

Meteorologist Ted Buehner (BEE’-ner) with the Weather Service office in Seattle says it will be a break from the long stretch of cold, damp days, and it will finally feel like spring.

Buehner says clouds will likely return next week, but it should be drier.
