SANAA, Yemen (AP) — A senior Yemeni official says embattled President Ali Abdullah Saleh has flown to Saudi Arabia to be treated for wounds sustained in a rocket attack on his palace a day earlier.

The government official says early Sunday that Saleh flew to the neighboring kingdom with his family.

Saleh’s departure comes after a daring attack that he blamed on rival tribesmen.
