Letter: Teens didn’t start the debt

Published: June 3, 2011, 5:00pm

In the June 1 story “House rejects debt limit increase,” Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Camas, is quoted, “Our federal government has acted like an irresponsible teenager for too long.”

On behalf of all of the responsible teenagers, the representative might concede that the teenagers neither elected the politicians nor created the debt.
