COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) — Adam Smith hit a go-ahead two-run homer in the sixth inning and Ross Stripling threw a four-hitter as Texas A&M defeated Seton Hall 6-3 on Saturday night to advance to the College Station Regional final.

Stripling (13-2), Texas A&M’s No. 3 starter during the regular season, allowed just four hits against Seton Hall (34-24) in the 95-degree heat. The Aggies (44-18) will play the winner of Sunday’s Arizona-Seton Hall elimination game.

With the game tied at 3, Smith crushed a fastball from Seton Hall ace Joe DiRocco (8-2) over the video board beyond the left-field fence, for his fifth homer of the season and 24th of his career.

The Aggies added an insurance run in the seventh on Matt Juengel’s RBI double.
