FORKS, Wash. (AP) — The body of a man who ran from Border Patrol agents last month was found Sunday in the Sol Duc River near Forks.

The Peninsula Daily News reports the body of Benjamin Roldan Salinas was spotted about a mile downstream from where he jumped in the water.

The Clallam County sheriff’s office says the body was identified by family members as the 43-year-old man who lived in the Forks area.

He was in a car that was stopped May 14 by agents who arrested another person in the car on an immigration violation. Salinas ran and jumped in the river.

More than 150 people took part in the initial search. Friends and family members continued searching until they found his body.
