Georgia beats Creighton 5-4 in 11 innings

CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) — Brandon Stephen’s two-out single to right field in the bottom of the 11th inning gave Georgia a 5-4 victory over Creighton on Sunday in an elimination game in the NCAA Corvallis Regional.

The Bulldogs (33-31) had to regroup quickly to face Oregon State on Sunday night.

Earl Daniels (1-0) came in with a runner on first and no outs in the 11th to claim the win.

Kurt Spomer (3-4) gave up the winning hit for Creighton (45-16).
