Two Woodland women were arrested Monday on allegations they tried to obtain oxycodone from a pharmacy using a forged prescription form.

Cynthia Ann Stevens, 39, of Des Moines and Sandy Kay Laukala, 45, of Auburn were arrested on suspicion of forgery, attempted theft and prescription drug fraud, according to the Woodland Police Department.

An employee at Hi-School Pharmacy, 1365 Lewis River Rd., called police at 11:45 a.m. after noticing “oddities” on the prescription form the women were attempting to use. The Oregon doctor’s office where the prescription was purportedly written told the pharmacist it was not their form.

Stevens and Laukala were lodged in the Cowlitz County Jail.
