Letter: Elite get the invites

The Columbian
Published: June 6, 2011, 5:00pm

I see that both Gov. Chris Gregoire and Sen. Patty Murray, D-Wash., were in town last week speaking only to the beneficiaries of their largess, not to the folks paying the freight.

It’s always the same old story: In October and November of even years, our politicians are the little guy’s best bud. Come the rest of the months, damn the hoi polloi. The politicians want to speak only to their kind of people and not mess with those little folks.
