Rally to protest proposed ban on pit bull dogs

A rally against the possible ban of pit bull dogs in Vancouver will be Wednesday.

Two Vancouver city council members said last week that they would be willing to discuss a possible ban on the breed. The ban was proposed by a resident after a 9-year-old boy was attacked May 23 by three pit bulls. The city council has not set a date on the discussion.

The rally will be 6:30 p.m. at Mill Plain Boulevard and Chkalov Drive, with adults, children and those with friendly pit bulls meeting in the parking lot of Fred Meyer.
