Lincoln City teen killed in car crash

NEWPORT, Ore. (AP) — The Lincoln County sheriff’s office says one Lincoln City teen was killed and another injured when their car crashed into a tree Tuesday afternoon off a gravel road south of Lincoln City.

Medics were unable to revive 18-year-old Jordan H. Johnson and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 16-year-old driver was airlifted to Legacy Emmanuel Medical Center in Portland and she is reported in stable condition.

Another passenger in the car was treated and released at a Lincoln City hospital.
