ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — The Texas Rangers placed second baseman Ian Kinsler on the paternity list prior to Wednesday night’s game against the Detroit Tigers.
Kinsler’s wife Tess gave birth to a son, their second child, on Wednesday afternoon.
Infielder Chris Davis was recalled from Triple-A Round Rock to take Kinsler’s roster spot.
Michael Young got the start at second against the Tigers.
