LONDON (AP) — Lewis Hamilton has apologized to Formula One’s governing body for a series of outbursts after the Monaco Grand Prix.
FIA president Jean Todt said the 2008 champion wrote a letter to FIA apologizing for criticizing stewards and fellow drivers after the May 29 race.
In a reference to Ali G, the TV character made famous by comedian Sacha Baron Cohen, Hamilton also questioned jokingly after the race whether he received two drive-through penalties during that grand prix because he was black.
