ATLANTA (AP) — The Washington Mystics signed forward Kerri Gardin on Wednesday with three key players injured and unable to play.
Guard Alana Beard (bruised foot) and rookie center Ta’Shia Phillips (ankle) were sidelined for Washington’s game against the Atlanta Dream.
The Mystics are already without forward Monique Currie (knee) for the entire season.
Atlanta was without leading scorer Angel McCoughtry (knee) for the second straight game.
Gardin, who spent the last two seasons with the Connecticut Sun, was signed after the WNBA allowed Washington a medical hardship to sign an additional player.
