Roxy is a 9-year-old Australian cattle dog mix who came to the shelter when her owners moved and couldn’t take her. She’s a very sweet girl who would probably like a quieter home. She would like to meet any kids older than age 10 and any other dogs she might be living with. Roxy is not on the adoption floor so if you would like to meet her, please email fsmith@southwesthumane.org to schedule an appointment.

Brinley is a sweet 7-year-old brown tabby with white markings. She came to the shelter when her family moved and could not take her with them. Brinley will need to go to a home with children older than age 6 since she doesn’t like to be held for very long.

These pets are among those available for adoption from noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Humane Society for Southwest Washington, 1100 N.E. 192nd Ave., Vancouver. Fees — which can include registered microchip, health exam, a spay or neuter certificate and vaccination — vary. Call 360-693-4746.
