SAN DIEGO (AP) — The Washington Nationals have placed right-hander Cole Kimball on the 15-day disabled list with shoulder inflammation.
The Nationals also selected right-hander Ryan Mattheus’ contract from Triple-A Syracuse before Friday night’s game at the San Diego Padres.
The 25-year-old Kimball is 1-0 with a 1.93 ERA in 12 games this season with Washington.
