Aide: Time nearing for Giffords’ hospital release

HOUSTON (AP) — An aide to wounded Rep. Gabrielle Giffords says the Arizona congresswoman could be released from her rehabilitation hospital in Houston as early as this month.

Chief of Staff Pia Carusone tells The Associated Press that the congresswoman may leave TIRR Memorial Hermann by the end of this month or early July.
