Kohlschreiber, Petzschner set up all-German final

HALLE, Germany (AP) — Unseeded Germans Philipp Kohlschreiber and Philipp Petzschner knocked out the highest-seeded players remaining in the Gerry Weber Open on Saturday to reach the grass-court tournament’s final.

Petzschner beat second-seeded Tomas Berdych 7-6 (7), 2-6, 6-3, while Kohlschreiber got past third-seeded Gael Monfils 6-3, 6-3 to set up the tournament’s first all-German title match.

The last ATP final featuring two unseeded Germans was July 18, 2004, when Tommy Haas beat Nicolas Kiefer in Los Angeles.
