Clark County’s Aging Readiness Task Force will meet next week to hear updates on recommendations from its subcommittees on housing, transportation, healthy communities, support services and community engagement.
The task force will meet at 2 p.m. Thursday in the sixth-floor hearing room of the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St.
Following the national trend, Clark County’s population of people 60 and older is increasing and projected to nearly double by 2025.
By then, experts estimate, one in four Clark County residents will be 60 or older.
Last year, county commissioners appointed a task force to assess the county’s capacity to serve a growing number of older people.
