CHICAGO (AP) — The Chicago Cubs have placed reliever Kerry Wood on the 15-day disabled list with a lingering blister on his right index finger.
The Cubs also activated infielder Jeff Baker from the 15-day disabled list before Monday’s game against the Milwaukee Brewers. Baker had been out with a strained left groin.
Wood is 1-3 with a 2.25 ERA in 24 relief appearances. The move is retroactive to Thursday.
