BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — Universities on both sides of the border are teaming up on a seminar to explore U.S.-Canada relations.

The five-day event begins Monday. It was put together by the University at Buffalo and Brock University in Ontario.

The seminar’s not open to the public. Instead, it’s aimed at educating legislative and political staff members of federal, state and local governments.

Among issues to be explored will be the shared governance of the Great Lakes, differences in the countries’ political systems and trade.

Sessions will take place on both sides of the border.
