Ron Sims leaving HUD, returning to Seattle

SEATTLE (AP) — Former King County Executive Ron Sims, who left two years ago to take a job with the Obama administration, announced Tuesday he’s leaving his job as deputy secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban Development to return to Seattle.

In a letter to colleagues Sims said he is retiring from public service to head home to his family.
