ATLANTA (AP) — Tommy Hanson has been scratched from his scheduled start for Atlanta against Texas on Friday due to tendinitis in his right shoulder.

Right-hander Randall Delgado will be recalled from Double-A Mississippi to make his major league debut against the Rangers. The 21-year-old Delgado, ranked by Baseball America as the Braves’ third-best prospect, is 4-4 with a 3.54 ERA at Mississippi.

The Braves will make a roster move Friday to clear a spot for Delgado.

Hanson, a right-hander, has been one of the Braves’ top starters. He is 8-4 and ranks second in the NL with a 2.48 ERA, trailing only teammate Jair Jurrjens’ 2.13 mark.
