Letter: Residents work together as stewards

The Columbian
Published: June 15, 2011, 5:00pm

Recently, I had the privilege to attend the Parks Foundation of Clark County’s annual luncheon. Grants were awarded to several Clark County communities, and three citizens were honored for their work promoting parks, trails and recreation programs throughout the county.

Though no one seems to get along well in the “other” Washington, it was inspiring to see the combined efforts of our local governments, private companies and citizens working together to make this area a wonderful place to live.
