TAEGERSCHEN, Switzerland (AP) — Race officials say Juan Mauricio Soler of Colombia has been injured in a crash and forced to drop out of the Tour of Switzerland.

Until the crash in Thursday’s sixth stage, Soler had been holding onto second place overall and was less than a minute behind leader Damiano Cunego of Italy.

The race was stopped midway through Thursday’s stage to allow doctors to treat several others injured, then resumed soon after.

Officials said they did not know the severity of Soler’s injuries.
