• Went 4 for 4 with a home run, a triple, and drove in four runs at a state tournament game.
• Batted .600 and scored seven runs in the five games at state, leading Skyview to a fourth-place trophy.
• Batted better than .600 in the 4A GSHL league schedule, leading the Storm to the league championship.

Next year and beyond
• Only a sophomore, Madison Anthony is excited about the challenge to get back to state. “Our expectations should be higher. I know we can do it.”
“When we lost to Walla Walla 1-0, we knew we played our hardest. That’s all our coach asks us. We had to push it the next game, though. We had the confidence to play for third-fourth place. That was our goal.”

• Michelle Brincefield, fr., Skyview: All-league pitcher helped Storm to Class 4A state semifinals.
• Taylor Bussey, so., Prairie: Phenomenal on defense and a solid hitter, made first-team all-league.
• Erin Carson, sr., Camas: Shattered several school records, including career hits, average, runs.
• Chelsea Creech, jr., Prairie: Always a threat to hit to drive in a run, even if there are no runners on base.
• Kylee Gaspar, sr., Mountain View: Incredible bat led her to being picked as co-MVP of the 3A GSHL.
• Alysa Huntley, jr., Skyview: First-team all-leaguer played her best in the biggest games of the season.
• Makayla Lafever, so., Woodland: Stepped up in a big way, earning MVP award for 2A GSHL.
• Ashley Sfetku, sr., Hudson’s Bay: 1st team, all-leaguer for squad that just missed a trip to the bi-district tourney.
• Brooke Sorenson, sr., Heritage: All-league catcher and the leader of the Timberwolves.
• McKenna Spieth, sr., Union: Some of her homers might still be in the air; 4A GSHL’s player of the year.
