Local actor Jonathan Jackson up for Daytime Emmy

Battle Ground — Battle Ground’s Jonathan Jackson, 29, has been nominated for his eighth Daytime Entertainment Emmy Award for his portrayal of Lucky Spencer on the ABC soap opera “General Hospital.”

Jackson has already won three Daytime Emmys for the role, which he originated at age 11. He left “General Hospital” in 1999, and the part of Lucky was recast. Jackson reprised the role in October 2009.

He is nominated in the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series category. The 38th annual Daytime Emmy Awards ceremony takes place Sunday in Las Vegas. It will air on CBS, local Channel 6, at 8 p.m.
