Spectator collapses along fairway at US Open

BETHESDA, Md. (AP) — A 30-year-old man is recovering after collapsing at the U.S. Open golf tournament.

The spectator collapsed near the 11th fairway Thursday morning at Congressional Country Club.

Emergency workers performed CPR and brought in a defibrillator.

According to the Montgomery County Fire Department, the man was in serious condition when taken by ambulance to a local hospital.

Officials said they would update his condition later in the day.
