SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — A Spokane-area woman who was wounded while working in Afghanistan as a helicopter mechanic for a private contractor will receive the treatment she needs for traumatic brain injury.

The Spokesman-Review reports 40-year-old Jennifer Barcklay of Chattaroy was notified Wednesday the rehabilitation will be covered by the insurance company she has been battling for more than a year.

Barcklay has been unable to work because of seizures, memory loss, headaches and trouble balancing.
