SCHAFFHAUSEN, Switzerland (AP) — Levi Leipheimer of the United States has won the Tour of Switzerland, inching seconds ahead of Italy’s Damiano Cunego with Sunday’s time trial.

The 37-year-old RadioShack rider finished just four seconds ahead in the overall standings.

Swiss rider Fabian Cancellara won the ninth and final stage, a 20-mile circuit around the northern city of Schaffhausen.

It was Cancellara’s second stage victory of the tour after he won the first day’s time trial.

This year’s race was overshadowed by the crash of Juan Mauricio Soler on Thursday. His team, Movistar, says the Colombian’s condition is improving, but he remains in the hospital in an induced coma with a fractured skull and ankle.
