CINCINNATI (AP) — The game between the New York Yankees and the Cincinnati Reds was postponed on Tuesday because of rain and a forecast of storms moving through all evening.

The game will be made up as part of a day-night doubleheader on Wednesday at Great American Ball Park.

It’s the second rainout of the season in Cincinnati. The Yankees have had four games postponed.

The game was called about two hours before the scheduled first pitch, giving the Yankees a chance to rest their injured players for an evening. Yankees manager Joe Girardi was talking to reporters in his office when he got the call about the postponement.
