The 17th annual Ducky Derby fundraiser hosted by the Camas-Washougal Rotary starts at 2 p.m. July 24.

Yellow rubber ducks will be dumped a into the Washougal River by the Third Avenue Bridge. Each duck is tagged with a number from a ticket that is purchased and the money goes toward scholarships for local high school students. One scholarship is reserved for a nontraditional student.

Over the 16 years, the club has raised more than $140,000 for college scholarships. Tickets are available for $5 each and there are prizes for the winning ducks. Winners will be announced the day of the event and ticket buyers don’t have to be present to win. For more information, call Debbie Friede at 503-519-1058.
