Parks to host B.G. summer playground program

BATTLE GROUND — Battle Ground Parks and Recreation’s traveling summer playground program will be held in four neighborhood parks this summer.

The free 10-week program is designed for children 4 to 10 years old. The drop-in program will offer a variety of arts, crafts, games and sports. Each week will have a theme. Parents are encouraged to attend with their children.

The program runs every Wednesday and Thursday from today through Aug. 26 at the following locations:

• Kiwanis Park, 422 S.W. Second Ave., 10 a.m. to noon Wednesdays.

• Horsethief Park, 1100 S.W. 24th Ave., 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesdays.

• Florence Robison Park, 1901 N.W. Ninth St., 10 a.m. to noon Thursdays.

• Cresap Park, 1911 S.E. Second Place, 2 to 4 p.m. Thursdays.
