LITTLE FALLS, N.J. (AP) — Former Yankees manager Joe Torre has helped Yogi Berra officially reopen his museum on the campus of Montclair State University.

The Yogi Berra Museum and Learning Center had been closed for nine months for a $3 million renovation. Among the new features unveiled Thursday are an interactive exhibit gallery that includes Berra’s 10 championship rings and the jersey he wore when he caught Don Larsen’s perfect game in the 1956 World Series.

A collector bought the jersey for $600,000 last year and is lending it for the exhibit.

Torre played for Berra when Yogi managed the Mets in the 1970s, and joked that his play helped get Berra fired.

Sportscaster Bob Costas also was on hand and shared some of Berra’s famous malapropisms.
