Vancouver — Students of the inaugural “Math in Green Construction” classes at Mountain View and Evergreen high schools have polished off the two 504-square foot houses they built this school year.

Each one-bedroom house — which also includes a kitchen and one full bathroom, and comes complete with appliances — is being offered to the highest bidder, with the minimum bid set at $39,750.

The new owners are responsible for moving the houses to their chosen sites.

The houses have passed all state inspections and meet all building requirements for Western Washington.

The projects helped Integrated II math students apply their lessons under the guidance of construction and math teachers.

Open houses will be held 8 to 11 a.m. Friday, at each school, for interested persons and potential buyers.

Mountain View is at 1500 S.E. Blairmont Drive; Evergreen is at 14300 N.E. 18th St., both in Vancouver.

For more information, contact Evergreen Public Schools’ College, Career and Technical Education department: 360-604-4068.
