WASHINGTON (AP) — Brian Ching headed in his first goal of the season in the 89th minute to give the Houston Dynamo a 2-2 tie with D.C. United on Saturday night.

Charlie Davies put DC United ahead in the 73rd minute when he tied the MLS scoring lead with his eighth goal of the season.

Andy Najar set up Davies’ goal, breaking past Clark on the near right side, then drawing down Tally Hall and Mike Chalaba to leave the ball and an open shot for Davies.

On the tying goal, Colin Clark sent a cross into the middle of the box for Ching, who targeted a slow-moving ball between Bill Hamid and the right goal post.

Chris Pontius gave United the lead in the 31st minute, but Houston tied it 10 minutes later after Bill Hamid tripped Ching in the area, and Brad Davis converted on the ensuing penalty.
