LOS ANGELES (AP) — Matt Kemp has been ejected in the fifth inning of the Los Angeles Dodgers’ game against the rival Angels for arguing a called third strike.

Kemp took a called third strike by home plate umpire Chris Conroy on Saturday and flipped his bat as he walked back to the dugout.

He then began yelling in Conroy’s direction and the umpire tossed him. Kemp ran back to Conroy and started gesturing before manager Don Mattingly joined him to argue the call.

Bench coach Trey Hillman led Kemp back to the dugout while Mattingly continued arguing to no avail.

It was Kemp’s second ejection of the season, having been tossed on May 29 against Florida, and the third of his career.
