PITTSBURGH (AP) — The Penguins re-signed forward Pascal Dupuis to a two-year contract on Tuesday, with an average annual value of $1.5 million.

Dupuis, 32, had 17 goals and 37 points to go along with a plus-16 rating last season. Dupuis was also a mainstay on the league’s top penalty killing unit, and scored four short-handed goals along the way.

The 6-foot-1, 205-pound forward was acquired by Pittsburgh from Atlanta on Feb. 26, 2008. In 249 regular-season games with the Penguins, Dupuis has 49 goals, 66 assists, and a plus-26 rating.

He’s played in 56 playoff games for Pittsburgh, as well, and helped the Penguins to the Stanley Cup in 2009.
