TACOMA, Wash. (AP) — A construction crane working on a new commuter rail line has toppled over in Tacoma but the operator was not hurt. The accident occurred late Thursday afternoon.

Sound Transit spokeswoman Kimberly Reason says her agency is working with the contractor that owns the crane to determine what happened.

Work at the site is temporarily halted until the investigation is complete.

Crews are laying the last segment of track for a Sounder commuter rail extension that will offer service from Tacoma to Lakewood in 2012.
