Suspect associated with Amber Alert taken into custody

A 34-year-old man who allegedly allegedly abducted his 4-year-old son this morning from a women’s shelter in Chehalis has been taken into custody in Bonney Lake. Amber Alerts were activated in Washington and Oregon.

Jacek Reed, who was allegedly snatched by his dad, Dustin Reed, at about 9:15 a.m., is safe. The Oregon State Police issued a news release announcing Reed had been taken into custody. Additional details were not immediately available.

Reed is believed to be on military leave from Kentucky.
