Clark Regional Emergency Services Agency launched its search for a new director Tuesday to replace Tom Griffith, who announced last month that he’s retiring at the end of May.

The director reports to an administrative board of representatives of the various jurisdictions and agencies that make up CRESA under an InterLocal agreement.

Griffith was CRESA’s director for 11 years. He joined the agency in 1994 as its emergency management manager. Previously, he worked for 26 years in the Los Angeles Police Department.

“CRESA is an outstanding organization that is recognized by our peers across all of our programs,” Griffith said in a news release. “The reason for CRESA’s reputation is twofold: the work force, the finest group of professionals to be found anywhere, and a supportive and engaged administrative board.”
