PORT ANGELES, Wash. (AP) — A Coast Guard helicopter crew from Port Angeles, Wash., went to the aid of a Canadian navy vessel near Washington’s Clallam Bay, evacuating a 42-year-old man with chest pains.

Lt. Kelly Higgins says the crew responded late Tuesday night to the vessel Algonquin and picked up the man and a doctor’s assistant after landing on the ship’s deck. The patient was taken to Victoria General Hospital in Victoria, British Columbia.
