JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD, Wash. (AP) — A court martial that was postponed Tuesday at Joint Base Lewis-McChord is under way Wednesday for a soldier accused of misconduct in Afghanistan.

Twenty-two-year-old Spc. Corey Moore of Redondo Beach, Calif., is accused of using drugs, beating up a whistleblower and stabbing a corpse. If convicted he could face more than 11 years in prison.

Moore is one of a dozen 5th Stryker Brigade soldiers accused of crimes in Afghanistan. Five are charged with murder in the deaths of three Afghan civilians.
