CHICAGO (AP) — Croatian midfielder Marko Maric has signed with the Chicago Fire.
The 27-year-old was acquired Tuesday on a free transfer from Greece’s Skoda Xanthi, where he made just four appearances last year.
He has played for Croatia’s NK Zagreb (2003-05), Greece’s Egaleo (2005-07) and France’s Lille (2007-09).
Chicago also signed 23-year-old goalkeeper Alec Dufty, who had been with second-division AC St. Louis.
