PASCO, Wash. (AP) — A 16-year-old Pasco boy who admitted pointing a gun at a police officer is headed to prison after pleading guilty to assault with a firearm.
The Tri-City Herald reports Alejandro “Alex” Leon faces more than seven years behind bars when he is sentenced March 15 in Franklin County Superior Court. He’ll be in a juvenile facility until he is 18, then a state prison.
Leon was running from an officer last June when he pointed a handgun but didn’t fire. The officer said she nearly fired at Leon but held off because there was a trailer behind him where someone else could have been hit.
