KISSIMMEE, Fla. (AP) — Florida’s Alex Sanabia allowed four runs in the first two innings, and the Houston Astros went on to beat the Marlins 5-3 Thursday.

Michaels, Humberto Quintero and Clint Barmes doubled as Sanabia gave up six hits in 1 2-3 innings. Brett Wallace had a two-run single in the first.

Nelson Figueroa and Aneury Rodriguez, candidates for the fifth spot in the Astros’ starting rotation, pitched two shutout innings each.

Emilio Bonifacio had three hits for the Marlins. Scott Cousins had two doubles and scored twice.

Quintero is among two healthy catchers remaining on the Houston roster after an injury to Jason Castro on Wednesday. Castro will have surgery Friday for a torn meniscus in his right knee.
